In this edition of the Relentless Training Table, Coach Lindsay Schrock shares with us some staples to have on hand for preparing healthy, quick, inexpensive Paleo meals at home. Her suggestions include:

Fats: nuts, nut butters, oils, nitrate-free bacon

Carbohydrates: pre-packaged greens, brussels sprouts, canned sugar-free tomatoes, diced garlic, berries

Proteins: cage-free eggs, ground grass-fed beef or bison, nitrate-free turkey bacon, chicken sausage, canned tuna, and free-range chicken breasts.

Keep your pantry and fridge stocked with these foods to ensure that you can whip up a healthy meal at any time.

Michelle attends the 6:30am Tu/Th O.Henry Athletic Training class. She is well known in the endurance community and is the General Manager/Senior VP at Conley Sports and LIVESTRONG Austin Marathon & Half Marathon. She works year round to put on the race that will take over downtown Austin on Sunday. Her influence and energy in class has pushed multiple athletes to run their first half marathon.

This Sunday, 2/19 is the LIVESTRONG Austin Marathon & Half Marathon. Multiple Relentless athletes are taking on this race for the 1st time while others are a veteran runner geared up and ready to compete again. Coach Benjamin Palmer, the Head Coach of CrossFit Endurance, is leading a warmup at 6:15am at 16th & Guadalupe on race day. More information here.

All 20 Athletic Training classes are utilizing Hyperwear sandbells in workouts each week. The Tu/Th 6:30am class at O. Henry Middle School with Coach Megan Parsons partnered up and did a variety of kettlebell exercises while the other partner sprinted the football field with a sandbell on their shoulder.
